I’ve Gone Web 2.0!
This Spring I decided to make the move to go Web 2.0. That means you can connect with me in lots of places on the Web. From my Blog, which I’ve been writing since January to my new Yahoo! Group called America’s National Parks, where we can all share our favorite stories, tips and ‘Ventures in our favorite National Parks to my new Facebook Page, where you can join in on the conversation and post a message on my wall, I can’t wait to connect with you in new ways!
I’ve got a Blog and I just love sharing with you all the cool things going on in our National Parks! It comes out every Tuesday Morning and you can read it in two different places; at Teddy’s Travels or on Blogger. If you subscribe to it in Blogger, you can have it sent your email address when a new entry is posted. You’re sure to have fun and learn LOTS, too!
America’s National Parks Yahoo! Group
Have you ever joined a Yahoo! Group? It’s really easy and when you join AmericasNationalParks you can join in on all the fun. We love to talk about our favorite National Parks. You can even ask questions about Parks you are thinking about going to. Think of it like a big Campfire where you can talk with lots of new friends about all your National Park ‘Ventures!
Do you have a Facebook page? I’m just figuring it all out, so please add a note to my wall and join my list of Friends. I’m listed as Tedrick de Bear and I can’t wait to meet you!

Women’s History Month at Jean Lafitte
What a great way to learn about the past. Learn about women of the many cultures in the New Orleans area at the French Quarter Visitor Center of the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve.
Put on your snowshoes! There are Ranger led Snowshoe hikes on the schedule and the roads will begin to be plowed in March. The plowing and road repair will be completed by the beginning of May and ready for visitors by May 20. Follow this link to learn more about this wonderful Park.
I can’t think of a better way to se Louisiana than on a boat tour of the Bayous. Here are two links that can get you started!
This is the National Park Service's site for kids of all ages. If you love our National Parks, Monuments and Historic Sites, this site is for you. If you are new to our National Parks, this site will help you experience how wonderful they can be!
Looking for underwater treasures? Well, there are LOTS of National Parks with amazing stuff under the water. This website has great information about the National Park Services’ work to protect and preserve these treasures.

The National Parks Service will soon have a museum dedicated to the history of the NPS. The goal is to have it completed for the NPS Centennial. What a great opportunity to learn about all of the great programs and resources the National Parks Service has to offer.
